![]() Moscow hopes that such a meeting will address the actions of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Ukraine and specifically the powers claimed by the Ecumenical Patriarch in granting autocephaly to the OCU. The Moscow Patriarchate has been hoping for a second Amman-type meeting, and it has not happened. Second, it may be the hope of the Moscow Patriarchate that its action will alarm the primates of other Orthodox Churches and cause them to conclude that a meeting of the Orthodox primates is now absolutely necessary to resolve the worsening situation in the Orthodox world. Thus, today’s action constitutes a stern warning to other Local Orthodox Churches not to recognize the OCU. First, the Moscow Patriarchate wishes to demonstrate how far it will go if other Local Orthodox Churches recognize the OCU. Why is the Moscow Patriarchate doing this? I do not have any inside information, but the following speculation may be a rationale for today’s action. On October 8, 2021, the Holy Synod of the Patriarchate of Antioch issued a statement which included the following: “The Synod Fathers considered the challenges facing Orthodoxy in the contemporary world, and stressed the importance of preserving the unity of Orthodoxy, respecting the canonical tradition of the Church, and avoiding anything that would exacerbate existing disputes, potentially transforming these disputes into larger and more consequential divisions in the one body of Christ.” Today’s action by the Holy Synod of the Moscow Patriarchate certainly is a major escalation of the dispute arising from Ukraine and does in fact greatly exacerbate the existing dispute. In recruiting African parishes, it is possible that the Moscow Patriarchate indicated that it would give more authority to native African clergy. The theory of the Moscow Patriarchate appears to be that the Patriarchate of Alexandria has fallen into schism because of its recognition of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU), and therefore all of Africa is now territory open to canonical Orthodox churches. The new Diocese of North Africa includes 31 nations and is to be headed by a bishop with the title, “Bishop of Cairo and North Africa.” It therefore covers territory which was part of the Patriarchate of Alexandria since its inception. The two new dioceses established today encompass every African nation without exception. There was some speculation that the Moscow Patriarchate might limit its new organizations to those parts of Africa where there is not a long history of the presence of the Patriarchate of Alexandria. ![]() The Holy Synod did not engage in any half-way measures. ![]() Under today’s resolution, these six stavropegic parishes are incorporated into the new dioceses. They are located in Morocco (Rabat and Casablanca), Tunisia (Bizerte and Tunis), Egypt (Cairo), and South Africa (Johannesburg). A representative of the Moscow Patriarchate’s DECR stated there are a total of six such Russian Orthodox parishes in Africa. Also, the Holy Synod had decided on December 26, 2019, to remove “from the jurisdiction of the Patriarchate of Alexandria the parishes of the Russian Orthodox Church located on the African continent” and to place them under the personal jurisdiction of Patriarch Kirill. As you recall, the Holy Synod of the Moscow Patriarchate at its meeting on September 23-24, 2021, instructed Archbishop Leonid of Vladikavkaz and Alania to study thoroughly “the numerous appeals of the clergy of the Orthodox Church of Alexandria to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus with a request to accepting them under the omophorion of the Moscow Patriarchate” and to submit proposals to the Holy Synod with respect to these appeals. Today’s resolution does not come as a total surprise. 100, including the preamble and actual resolution, is pasted below. The Moscow Patriarchate also accepted under its jurisdiction “102 clerics of the Patriarchate of Alexandria from eight African countries.” The preamble to the resolution stated: “Today, no less than a hundred parishes of the Patriarchate of Alexandria, headed by their rectors, have declared their desire to join the bosom of the Russian Orthodox Church.” A Google translation of the full text of Journal No. Today, December 29, the Holy Synod of the Moscow Patriarchate adopted a resolution creating two dioceses and an exarchate in Africa.

![]() If you're close enough the menu will change, with one option for Trade (Square/X). If you're yet to figure it out: face your active companion and press the activate button (Cross/A). Note that you'll need to give them ammo for anything but their default weapon, so this isn't an unlimited missiles exploit. Dress them up in armour to keep them alive longer in battles and hand over more powerful boomsticks for tough fights. If he/she truly has used any forum before, he/she would know that the community does not like repetitive questions that have been answered and easily found, especially on multiple sites. ![]() I was being nice, to the point, and provided answers. It's still not optimal, but if you're truely at a loss it's very possible to find you answer using google that way, unlike years ago when a question was likely to drum up 0 results. To be fair, Google has gotten a lot better at answering actual questions, than back in the day. And now I'm here to get an answer and to see what an ass you are. Exactly like the original poster suggested. I was curious if there's an in game way to reset the stats so I googled and ended up here. I can't believe the original poster was so polite in responding to you.I started playing FO4 recently because I had no interest in it when it was released given how little new it brings to the series, but got it on sale and as bored and anyway. Forum users on any forum site do not like repetitive questions that have been answered. I gave you the answer because I was being nice. You think if a couple main keywords, type them in, and pop at the top is what you are most likely looking for. You don't use questions, you use key words in order of importance. Other "video gamers" would have done a simple google search or forum search at first, and found these answers all over the place.Īs for formulating the question for google and forum searches. Nevertheless, you do make a good point, so don't get me wrong, I've no intentions of trying to make it seem as if your viewpoint isn't perfectly valid, because I think it is - and in general I do google things rather than asking others for answers by placing posts at various boards. So don't get me wrong, pal, it's not that I don't know I can google pretty much anything I want to know or learn about, but there's more than one way to skin a cat, as the saying goes.Īnd besides, another good result of making a post is that other video gamers who google or Steam search this topic in the future will have the opportunity to read what you guys have sid in response to my question (provided they formulate their question so it fits the crteria, of course - something which isn't always as clean cut and straight forward as we like to think). I like the extra aspect of getting other people's personal perspectives. I could have googled the question, but I wouldn't have got the personal aspect of the information and opinions, thoughts, ideas and personal experiences of those who reply to me when I place a post in 'my' gaming community - the gamer community I frequent the most. This is the upgraded version of the standard Ring Alarm base station. ![]() The Ring Alarm Pro is the latest-gen base station that’s required for running a Ring Alarm system. All the complaining about this being 100% increase but that increase comes in 3 years time so would you rather have a 33% increase each year or sit back and enjoy the deal you're getting as an existing customer (which is rare because companies usually offer better pricing to new customers) than it is to new customers right now because of the feature set included with the new hardware.Marketing image of the Ring Alarm Pro base station The company is actually being quite transparent in that it is giving you the option to stick around at the lower price if you're an existing customer or jump ship to a competitor that is more expensive (from what other posters have found) and those competitors likely will increase their prices which are higher than ring (looking at you ADT for $50/month just for pro monitoring) in the next 3 years. If you're an existing customer with hardware that isn't compatible with the features of the newly launched base station you still get to enjoy all the same benefits you had before until Jan 1st 2025 for the same price. Wow, the number of "Karen's" in this thread. We may reevaluate before the price change goes into effect, but I can say that we absolutely will NOT even consider Simplisafe again. Not too happy about the doubling of the price to pay for features we don’t want. Since then, about a year now, we’ve been very happy with Ring and never had app issues and feel that the $100/yr was very reasonable. ![]() They should change their name to SimpliSucks. This is all after five years of constant problems where the app wouldn’t connect to the alarm. Left such a bad taste that we dumped them for Ring about a week later. I argued enough that they agreed to send the 4g card at no cost. They still wanted us to pay for the hardware fix. ![]() They didn’t care that we had paid them $25 a month for over 5 years and only once had an alarm event where they actually had to do their job and dispatch the local police. After googling, turns out they had offered free system upgrades to the latest gen to some customers but not others (like us), and they would try to upsell some customers to the latest hardware instead of supporting their older 3g hardware with the required hardware upgrade. Simplisafe didn’t even notify us about that until 3g was turned off and our system just quit working. It most certainly was NOT a software update. The system we had needed a hardware card replaced to switch to the 4g system. That whole 3g thing was a mess with simplisafe.
